The specimen has aligned epitaxial fibrous crystals of akermanite-gehlenite on manganoan calcite. This would be a rare set of minerals for the locality. These minerals have formed over a thin deposit of light red andradite made of a layer of small crystals on and inside of the matrix. The gehlenite is made up of tiny fibrous crystals something like grass seeds. The xrd analysis can be emailed.
