The specimen is made up of a deposit of calcite onto rhodochrosite on a host matrix. Besides of the main display face, there is a small vug on the side with calcite on rhodochrosite. On the main display face there is a deposit of uv reactive calcite on a bed of rhodochrosite. The rhodochrosite is made up of interconnecting rhombic crystals which have formed botryoids. There is some abrasions on the side of the calcite on the main display face.
