The thumbnail specimen has a crystal of calcite perched on a fragment of matrix with malachite. The matrix has tiny rhombic calcite covering the surface. Malachite is present in small acicular ball sprays on matrix and partially included in the calcite crystal.. The calcite has a high level of brightness with lustrous glossy surfaces.
