This specimen is made up of a deposit of Dioptase on a host matrix of Quartz which also has a deposit of pale blue Plancheite. The specimen matrix is massive Quartz and comes from the Okandawasi Mine in Namibia's Kaokoveld region. The Dioptase has great colour and lustre and measures 16mm with a smaller crystal of Dioptase attached too. Overall in great condition, there is a minor abrasion on the back of the Dioptase but not on the termination.
