The specimen is a stubby crystal of green tourmaline (tourmaline var. elbaite). The crystal has its root intact despite the specimen being short. One is looking at a termination on a very shrt trunk. The crystal vertically striated, with striations visible internally as well. The termination has three rhombic surface planes. The crystal is gemmy and the colour is mainly true green. Some areas though reveal a shift towards blue hinting at veridian. There is an abrasion on the side of the termination.
