Ettringite on Matrix, N'Chwaning II Mine, Kalahari Manganese Field, Northern Cape, South Africa.

A very colourful specimen here which is made up of ettringite deposited onto a rectangular and relatively thick in comparisson host matrix. The ettringite are a lovely bright lemon yellow colour with good lustre and under the microscope one can see the lovely hexagonal crystals which are very glassy. There are a few abrasions here and there.
