Kutnohorite Cluster

Kutnohorite Cluster

N'Chwaning I Mine, Kalahari Manganese Field, Northern Cape, South Africa

Size: 4.5 x 2.5 x 2.1 cm (Miniature)

The specimen has cone formed clusters of kutnohorite crystals made up of elongate columns of stacked crystal growth, growing in narrow parallel and sub-parallel clusters. There is an attached cone shaped cluster of kutnohorite which is attached sideways on one end. The kutnohorite has a light milky pink colour. There are small white calcite crystals sporadically deposited on both sides of the specimen, the white on soft pink is a lovely colour combination. The specimen is from finds in 2014.
