Fluorite

Fluorite

Okorusu Mine, Otjiwarongo, Otjozondjupa, Namibia

Size: 2.8 x 1.7 x 2.1 cm (Thumbnail)

The Fluorite has a cubic fluorite crystal attached to some fluorite 'rough'. This is a good example of an alternative complex surface form compared with a simple cubic form. The cubic habit consists of many smaller cubes contributing towards stepped corners and edges on the larger form. The colour inside the crystal is beautiful. There is blue green, blue, and violet. The overall colour is blue and the main crystal is 1.4cm on edge.
