The specimen is a compaction of pyramidal crystals of hausmannite in a classic habit for the locality. On this specimen the bi-pyramidal aspect of the habit is embedded. The crystals have a black metallic luster, that is dulled because of tiny fine mini crystal faces knitted together to form the larger crystal planes. The crystals protrude to 1.3cm.
