Inesite & Xonotlite, Wessels Mine, Kalahari Manganese Field, Northern Cape, South Africa

The specimen is from finds in May 1992 and is made up of small thin transparent tabular blades of inesite arranged in a fan-like grouping. The inesite has a lovely orange colour and is surrounded by balls of xonotlite. Here and there small clear calcite crystals have been deposited.
