The specimen has a root base of massive milky quartz coloured by chrysocolla and malachite. On top of the quartz stem there is a complex mixture of mineral growth over crystals of quartz. There is chrysocolla on the quartz but covered by a thin layer of chalcedony. Both the malachite and the chrysocolla have been frozen under the layer of chalcedony. A very nice specimen from the locality. These were not common.
