The specimen is made up of a deposit of quartz on shattuckite. The quartz is a medium grained quartz drusy with a good lustre and milky to clear at the surface. The quartz has been deposited over a more or less rounded sphere of shattuckite. The shattuckite comes through the quartz very lightly.
