The specimen is a crystal of elbaite showing emphatic vertical striations interrupted by twinning in the base zone and up one side of the prismatic trunk. Typically the crystal colour breakdown has a partial sleeve of yellow olive colour wrapped around an abundant balance of water melon colour. A very nice old specimen.
