Hydroxyapophyllite-(k) Cluster, N'Chwaning II Mine, Kalahari Manganese Field, Northern Cape, South Africa.

Hydroxyapophyllite was fairly common at the Kalahari Manganese Fields, these days to find good undamaged ones is not so easy. This specimen is made up of a few high lustre cubic crystals which have intergrown with one another. The largest crystal here measures 1.7cm and with a lovely very high lustre. Overall in great condition, there is a couple of contact points around the edges.
