The specimen is made up of a deposit of quartz which has replaced hemimorphite as well as quartz coating the matrix too. Coming off the matrix at the top is a 'spray' of quartz replaced hemimorphite crystals in a very pale yellow colour. The pale yellow colour of the psm against the white matrix is very attractive. The Skorpion Mine closed at the end of 2019.
