The specimen is made up of a few deposits of quartz which has replaced hemimorphite as well as quartz coating the matrix too. Coming off the matrix at the top is a 'spray' of quartz replaced hemimorphite crystals in a very pale yellow colour as well as a few more 'sprays' laying against the matrix. The pale yellow colour of the psm against the white matrix is very attractive. The Skorpion Mine closed at the end of 2019.
