Red Hematite In Quartz, Orange River Area, Karas Region, Namibia

The specimen has a single crystal of red quartz protruding through a 2nd generation of grey coloured quartz. The crystal is red from inclusions of red hematite which is contained in a phantom layer quite near to the surface of the crystal.
