The specimen has a shallow up to 1cm layer of matrix sandwiched between two outer layers of rhodochrosite. One side is more prominently deposited of rhodochrosite. The rhodochrosite has a series of small rounded heaps of small saddled pink rhombic crystals. The heaps sparkle because of the small well defined rhombic crystals which make up the heaps.
