The specimen's matrix has the structure of a pocket of pita bread with the top half of one side removed exposing a deposit of pink rhodochrosite. The matrix is a lamellar mix of country rock with layers of fibrous gageite. The little shallow pocket formation with the exposed rhombic outcrop created an aesthetic display. The colour of the rhodochrosite is delicate pink and lustrous.
