A wedge shaped specimen here which is made up of two generations of rhodochrosite on a host matrix. The first generation is a thin cherry red layer of botryoidal rhodochrosite. The second generation is made up of a slightly thicker deposit of light pink rhodochrosite. The rhodochrosite is deposited on the matrix edge to edge.
