The specimen has a pink-brown deposit of rhodochrosite in an edge to edge spread of botryoidal crystals. The botryoids surfaces are refined, evoking a sense of chalcedony. Directly below the rhodochrosite layer there is a 0.5cm lamellar layer of minerals revealing undulating bands with a mineral richness. Under the microscope one of the minerals present displays crystal habits for waterhouseite.
