A lovely display specimen here is made up of a deposit of Smithsonite on a host matrix. The Smithsonite has a pale sea green colour and is in the form of small scalenohedron crystals which completely cover the display face of the specimen. The Skorpion Zinc Mine closed at the end of 2019. In the matrix, there is also a small amount of a black mineral which I would suggest is Hetaerolite.
