The specimen has multiple radial acicular mounds of brown kolwezite with needle halos in shiny ochre colour. The kolwezite is deposited onto the surface of pale pink cobaltoan calcite. The calcite is a fragment from a 1.1cm thick crust of intergrown crystalline aggregate.
