The specimen has quartz on dioptase on a limonitic foundation. The dioptase is a compact intergrowth of large crystals. The crystals are all intergrown with no crystal standing proud. In the context of scale the cluster has large crystals that impress with their rhombic points and prismatic edges. The crystals have a lustrous gemmy surface. An impressive specimen.
